About Arlington Travel Basketball

This section of the Arlington Travel Basketball website provides general information about the Arlington Travel Basketball program.

Overview
The Arlington Travel Program is a competitive program designed for the advanced player. Arlington Travel teams participate in the Fairfax County Youth Basketball League (“FCYBL”) along with more than 20 other youth organizations from the northern Virginia area. FCBYL was created over 20 years ago to promote competition, athletics, and good sportsmanship.  For more information on FCYBL visit www.fcybl.org.

Arlington Travel teams are selected every fall after a series of tryouts where coaches for each age group select a limited number of players.  Not all players are selected. Players who are not selected are encouraged to play on one of the Arlington House Basketball teams.  Arlington Travel is not an “AAU” basketball program, although many of the travel players also play on AAU teams in the spring and summer after the winter travel season is over.
